AMSOIL was extensively tested in a fleet of New York City Taxi Cabs. Four test groups were set up. Group 1 used a good quality petroleum Oil and that oil was changed every 3,000 miles. Group 2 used AMSOIL 10W-40 Engine Oil and AMSOIL Air and Oil filters changed at 6,000 miles for the duration of the test. Group 3 used the same AMSOIL and Filters and was changed every 12,000 miles and Group 4 used Amsoil 10W-40 with AMSOIL Air Filter and the AMSOIL By-Pass Filter System. The By-Pass Filter Element was changed every 12,000 miles. The test was run for 1 year.

Pistons from New York Taxi Test

As the pictures demonstrate, AMSOIL performed far better than the conventional oil in many ways. Note the pistons in group A (petroleum oil)... the piston skirts are covered with varnish and there is heavy carbon around the rings. Group B, C, and D show no such build up and actually the cleanest pistons are in group D the cars that used the By-Pass Filter and no oil change for 60,000 miles!

Valves from New York Taxi Test

Looking at the pictures of the valves again shows how AMSOIL keeps the engine clean. The petroleum lubricated engines show a heavy carbon build up around valve tops and again, group D (60,000 miles with no oil change) valves are the cleanest.

"I believe the general conclusion that your 'four times normal drain' engines, i.e., 3,000 x 4, appeared as clear as our mineral oil 'normal drain' engines, is testimonial to your oil in spite of the unanticipated severity of the General Motors 3.8 liter engine." ~ Comment by the Testing Facility

I don't think anybody can argue the fact that AMSOIL FAR OUTPERFORMS ANY OTHER OIL ON THE MARKET! Pictures are worth a thousand words. When are you going to start using the best oil in the World?
