Besides sponsoring dealers and selling Amsoil products, you also have the opportunity to set up Commercial Accounts, Retail-on-the-Shelf Accounts, and Trade Shows. But, never lose sight of the importance of adding dealers to your organization. All that is necessary to develop an organization is to talk to people, learn what they want, and educate them about what being an Amsoil dealer can do for them. This is what makes the business work and makes you as successful as possible!

Personal Sales

As an Amsoil Dealer, you can purchase Amsoil products from the Amsoil warehouse (or another dealer who stocks products and will transfer the volume to you) at dealer cost. You sell them to customers at the suggested retail price. This is one way to make an immediate profit. Of course, you can also purchase products at cost for your own personal use.

It is not necessary for you to stock inventory, because the regional warehouses located throughout the country can usually deliver an order within 2 or 3 days. You can also order in "eaches" rather than case lots.

The product Catalog is an excellent sales tool. A customer can use it to order directly from the company. You still get the profit because your dealer number is their customer number. It is a good feeling when a customer keeps coming back -- even after 20 years!

Commercial Accounts

The dealer who establishes this account receives 10% of the commercial account's volume in a separate check, plus 20% added to other volume generated. For every commercial account a dealer establishes that does $100 cc in the first year, the dealer receives an extra $10.00.

This group includes farmers, ranches, plant nurseries, city or state agencies, etc. A commercial account is one that uses products for only their own use and may not resell them. They may not establish a dealer organization or other commercial or retail on the shelf accounts. The account is able to purchase products directly from Amsoil for less than dealer cost.

They may also be a dealer, but both the account and dealership must be under the servicing dealer. In other words, they may not have their account under their dealership.

Accounts must order at least once a year to remain active. They order in case lots and may pay on 30 day accounts based on credit approval by check, credit card or COD. Application packages are available through Amsoil.

Retail-On-The-Shelf Accounts

The dealer who establishes this account receives 20% of their volume in a separate check, plus 20% added to their volume. For every retail account that generates $100 cc in their first year, the dealer receives an extra $10.00.

This type of account includes repair shops, department stores, garden centers, hardware stores, service stations, oil change centers, or anyone who directly or indirectly retails the products to the consumer. They may also use them for their own use, but may not establish other accounts or dealers unless they also become a dealer under you.

The account is able to purchase products directly from Amsoil for less than dealer cost, but more than Commercial account prices. They may be a dealer also, but may not have their account under their dealership. They must also order at least once a year to remain active and can order in case lots on 30 day accounts based on credit approval by check or COD. Application packages are available through Amsoil.

Trade Shows and Fairs

A dealer can also display Amsoil products in boat shows, fairs, etc. There is usually a charge for this, but if you concentrate on meeting prospective dealers and accounts, they can be worthwhile. Contacts are always important and shows can be a good way to introduce your area to the Amsoil product line.
