Let me say, up front...This information is NOT for dealers who desire to only sell a few products to "friends & neighbors, etc. or who became AMSOIL dealers to purchase at wholesale. This section is for the REALLY SERIOUS AMSOIL DEALER who is committed to building a large and successful business. The dealer who is willing to SACRIFICE personal pleasures, television, and many other things to build a ONE MILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR BUSINESS!
I am going to give you THE MOST IMPORTANT STATEMENT you will ever hear in this business.....YOU ARE... WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT "MOST OF THE TIME"! If you LIVE, BREATHE, EAT, AND SLEEP AMSOIL... you will be able to generate that $100,000.00 per year income that you are working for!
If you owned any other business... and you had INVESTED EVERY LAST CENT YOU HAD INTO THAT BUSINESS you would BE..... WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MOST OF THE TIME!! You would use every waking minute of your time to MAKE THAT BUSINESS SUCCESSFUL because EVERYTHING YOU HAVE is invested in that business!
THAT IS THE WAY YOU HAVE TO APPROACH YOUR AMSOIL BUSINESS! Everything you do must be directed at INCREASING THE SIZE of your AMSOIL business. AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK then you just MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!! In my "Competitive Roller Skating days" I used to have a saying written every place I could see it..... IF YOU ARE SATISFIED... MOVE OVER AND LET ME BY! YOU are the one that is responsible to MAKE YOUR BUSINESS WORK! IF YOU ARE SATISFIED... many people WILL PASS YOU BY! YOU NEED TO BE A LEADER... not a follower! Believe me! THE AMSOIL BUSINESS WORKS AND CAN MAKE YOU ANY KIND OF MONEY YOU WANT TO MAKE!
Again, let me be "right up front with you"! You WILL NOT make the kind of money you want to make by 'just setting up Retail on the Shelf and Commercial Accounts'. YOU MUST DO IT THROUGH SPONSORING! The MILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR BUSINESS you want to develop will come by sponsoring a lot of new dealers! Sponsoring IS THE NAME OF THE GAME. NOW when you sponsor new dealers YOU MUST LEARN TO "IDENTIFY YOUR LEADERS" AND WORK WITH THOSE LEADERS!!!
Look for the ones that have a tendency to "do it on their own" without you 'having to "hold their hand"' for every little thing that comes along! They Order their Own Products! THEY ASK QUESTIONS! THEY ATTEND EVERY MEETING THEY CAN! And... they even bring prospects to your meetings from time to time. They may even ANSWER THEIR PHONE, "AMSOIL, may I help you!"
THE FIRST MAJOR STEP FOR YOU is to get together with your 'leaders' AND SCHEDULE A MONTHLY MEETING AT THEIR LOCATION! (please refer to the section... "Setting up Meetings", elsewhere on this home page). YOU ATTEND and conduct their first meeting. Let me give you a tip... you will expect only one or 2 dealers or prospects to attend his first few meetings. THAT IS OK! That is the way you get started. Now encourage him/her to get more dealers in attendance and you will find that the meetings will start to grow! Then you know you have a Direct Jobber in the works! ...and THAT is what you want!
When I say, "You are... What you Think About Most of the Time" I mean EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS! Every place you go, whether to the Grocery Store, to work, or visiting the Relatives... You are THINKING about AMSOIL all the time. You DO NOT make yourself "obnoxious" by impeding on every conversation to talk about AMSOIL... you are just ALWAYS aware of opportunities and when oil or oil related subjects come up in a conversation you "inject" what YOU know about oil!!! When you are at the Service Station and the person in the next drive is friendly YOU OFFER THEM A CATALOG... it just may start a conversation and produce a dealer for you. You are "thinking" about AMSOIL and therefore are ready to take advantage of an opportunity!
NOW THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO INSTILL THE ABOVE HABITS IN YOUR AMSOIL DEALERS THAT YOU HAVE SPONSORED AND WHO ARE LEADERS!
Remember... the successful AMSOIL Dealer has their "priorities right". 1) God is first in your life, 2) Your family comes second, and 3) YOUR AMSOIL BUSINESS is the THIRD most important thing in your life! Again, THIS DEDICATION IS ONLY NECESSARY IF YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY IN YOUR AMSOIL BUSINESS. We are not trying to "scare everyone else away... just trying to give some pointers to those who are "deadly serious" about wanting to develop a large income!

I, like most everyone else used to think all this 'stuff about dreams and goals' was just a bunch of "garbage"!!! REST ASSURED... IT IS NOT! DREAMING ABOUT YOUR GOALS AND DESIRES WORKS FOLKS!!!! It really does! Actually go out and get a picture of your dream home, dream car, or dream vacation spot! Tape them to your bathroom mirror and anyplace else in the house you go to (i.e. refrigerator, etc.). GET A COPY OF NAPOLEON HILL'S "THINK AND GROW RICH" and READ IT 3 OR 4 TIMES! You will be amazed what you can do! They are a part of your SUCCESS! Another excellent book is "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David Swartz.
About ONCE PER MONTH get out your AMSOIL Marketing Plan, your calculator, and 'draw out' your DESIRED BUSINESS! Figure you are working a "Five year Plan" and then draw out 40 dealers on the first level averaging 250 cc's per month. Then add 10 Direct Jobbers that average 10,000 cc's per month! NOW SEE WHAT YOU HAVE! In 5 years time you should have many HUNDREDS of dealers in your group! Now you will see what we mean!
Keep in mind... THERE IS NO LIMIT AS TO HOW BIG YOUR BUSINESS CAN BE! With the increase in the use of Synthetic Oil it can be even 10 times bigger! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT AND THAT THERE WILL BE HUNDREDS OF YOU DOING IT WITHIN THE NEXT 5 TO 10 YEARS!
A MOST IMPORTANT THOUGHT....How much money were you making 5 years ago? ARE YOU 2 OR 3 TIMES BETTER OFF TODAY? Don't you think 3 to 5 years of concentrated, persistent effort on your part is worth it? A few people, if they had this opportunity in their hands and realized what they could do in the next 5 years would put in TWICE the effort we are referring to.
