It is a question we should all seriously consider for our own benefit! Let's think about it for a few minutes. I know it is the politicians that are always asking that question, using four years, and they are doing just that.... playing politics!
I can relate to what I have seen over the years and to our own experiences. If you take a serious look at your situation you may be shocked. Exactly what was 'your situation' five years ago? Get a piece of paper and pen and answer these questions:
Are you satisfied? Are you? Really? Or do you want more? If you are satisfied you are in the majority! If you are not satisfied you are in a unique group! You are constantly moving ahead and are proud of what you have accomplished! I had a "saying" when I was in competitive roller skating..., "If you are satisfied... move over and let me by!" Think about that for a minute. We can all do better!
If you are NOT satisfied then let's look at a few things. Most importantly, if you are not satisfied you need to sit down and analyze your situation. MAKE A PLAN! "A man without a plan is like a boat in the water without a rudder", you just don't know where you are going! Seriously, get together with your wife/husband and children and have a SERIOUS discussion. What do you want to do in the next five years? Are you and your family willing to make some sacrifices, change some of the ways you do things, and possibly give up some of the things they enjoy doing? Where do you want to be in five years? What goals do you have for the next five years? You see, the 'majority' of the people who are satisfied are not willing to make a few changes in their lifestyle! Five years from today they will be no better off than they were 5 years ago! That is a shame!!!!
Question is.... can you accomplish these things "working for someone else"? I can answer that real easy! Has he helped you over the past five years? That is how much he is going to help you for the next five years!!!!!! You see, "your boss" started his company SO HE COULD BE BETTER OFF EVERY 5 YEARS...NOT HIS EMPLOYEES! If you want to be better off five years from today then you will have to do something different! You are going to have to start a business of your own! Getting the money together and getting a business started could require many thousands of dollars. Now you are going to have to work that business 7 days per week, 14 to 18 hours per day... (I could go on and on!). If your "success" is in the top 40% of all new businesses you MAY still be in business one year later! That is a 'long shot' in itself! Remember it is YOUR thousands of dollars tied up to make money or to go 'bankrupt". Remember, sixty per cent do go bankrupt in the first few years.
THE OTHER ANSWER! 80 MILLION people now operate a "Home Business"! EIGHTY FIVE PER-CENT ARE SUCCESSFUL IN THE FIRST YEAR! Millions more are starting a business in their home!
